You know how funny it is to call it POPCORN? When really it isn´t corn, well, not anymore. And it doesn´t pop. Not in my mouth, anyway. But it was corn bevor. And then it popped. Shouldn´t it be POPPED CORN?

And then, there is silence
I know. For most people, they´re "just" grades. Nothing fancy. Nothing important.
For me, they meant my hopes, my plans, my future, my life crashing down in a matter of seconds.
When you´re whole life feels like being behind, not being good enough, you just want one single place where you are the one to be better.
To prove the people wrong that brought you down just so many times.
And it works. For a long time, it works perfectly.
But then again, destiny is a sarcastic bitch, right?
Right.
For most people, a C in German is good, is something to be proud of. Really not something to cry and sob about. And a D in Math? Hell, it´s just math, right?
Wrong.
And with a bunch of A students as friends these results mean failure.
Even an A in English is useless when the rest of your grades scream "average" and "okay". I don´t want to, hell, I can´t be average.
You´re just sitting there, barely listening when your teacher crumbels about how difficult the math exams were this time and how suprised he is, that you messed up almost every subject of your exam.
And to put a cherry on top, the stupid bitch of a pupils-speaker gets B´s only. hooray.
Somehow it´s funny, that I got my results earlier and don´t have to watch the list with everyone else on monday. Bout this time I won´t start to cry everytime I think about it. Shrugging, I´m gonna play it cool and tell the others that it didn´t surprise me.
That it didn´t crash my world and I got drunk the same evening.
